Branson, August 2007

It was so blazing hot that walking Branson's main drag on the afternoon of August 12 was not an option. Consequently, this series of photographs was captured from a moving vehicle. Much more time was spent uploading these pictures than taking them. All but the last three snapshots are from Highway 76, also known as Country Music Boulevard. I suspect that these images will be of interest primarily to curious people outside the United States and to amateur researchers of American culture who might stumble across them in a couple decades.

That would have been fun. Let's keep on eye on the listings, though. I'm in the mood to "laugh my Yak-off."

Hey, we stayed in Ozark Mountain Inn last spring. And saw a music show in that music mall last fall with the granddaughters. I am SUCH a Branson junkie.
